Efraims N. Smits

Managing Director

Biography:

Efraims Smits is the director of BalticMinds for Latvia, Estonia, and Lithuania.

His vision for an apologetics center in the Baltics grew out of a desire to create a space where people from all backgrounds can explore life’s biggest questions honestly and thoughtfully, without arguing over each other but actually seeking to hear and listen to other peoples point of view and perspectives.

Having lived a life all over the world, and with a background in theological education and advertising media, Efraims is working to bring together thinkers, speakers, and creatives who share a commitment to open dialogue and the pursuit of truth.

His hope is that BalticMinds can serve as a place where faith and reason are explored, not as opposites, but as essential parts of a deeper understanding of life.

“I have known the team of BalticMinds for a long time. They have been pursuing a very important task, bridging the gaps of different worldviews, helping respectful dialogue in a polarised world!

Dr. Alexander Fink Biophysicist, Institut für Glaube und Wissenschaft, GERMANY

Anyone would do well to join the apologetics conversations now being proposed by BalticMinds. Their approach drives thoughtful responses to real questions and contemporary cultural dilemmas.

Daniel S. Sheard, DTh Professor of Systematic Theology at Liberty University, USA

With clarity, courage, and creativity, BalticMinds cultivate a culture of deep dialogue and honest inquiry. Their work is a timely gift to the Baltic region and to all who long to seek truth with integrity.
